Germany scholarship

We award several Germany scholarships each winter semester (not in 2023). If you are selected, you will receive a monthly grant of 300 euros until the end of the standard period of study*. Half of the grant is provided by the German government and the other half by a private donor.

Application requirements - Applications are open to

  • SRH students who are in their 1st or 2nd semester in the respective winter semester.

The scholarship program law specifies the further criteria for funding:

  • For first-year students: average grade of the Abitur. In addition, individual grades or qualifications relevant to the chosen field of study.
  • For students already enrolled: academic achievements to date, in particular ECTS points. For students in the Master's program, the final grade of the previous program also counts. Special potential of the applicants, for example through special achievements such as awards and prizes, a previous professional activity, internships, extracurricular, social, university political or political commitment or participation in religious societies, associations or clubs. Special personal or family circumstances such as chronic illnesses and disabilities, raising children, especially as a single parent, caring for close relatives, working in family businesses, working while studying or having a migration background.

What do you have to do to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium?

To apply, send the following compressed documents in a PDF file by e-mail to Marketing.HSNRW@srh.de.

  • Letter of motivation (your interest in studying, your social commitment, etc.)
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Proof of previous achievements (certificates, proof of voluntary work, etc.)

Application deadline is 11/31st/2023 Funding will be paid retroactively to the start date of your studies.

* The sponsor must pay the sponsorship for at least one year. After that, he/she can withdraw from the sponsorship if the scholar's performance is not adequate.
